BS in Digital Electronics
Digital electronics and embedded systems. BS thesis: designing and building a test setup to measure the software and hardware parameters of an engine control unit (ECU) — my first taste of instrumentation and measurement.

Frequency estimation for SAW resonator sensors
MS in Integrated Circuits (Embedded Systems). Alongside CMOS analog and mixed-signal design — amplifiers, filters, ADCs, noise budgets — my thesis pulled the resonant frequency of a SAW resonator out of its damped-sine response: FFT plus parabolic interpolation, with a small neural network to clean up the residual, implemented on a microcontroller. 14-layer PCB · FPGA signal chains
Three years leading 14-layer DSP/IF board design at Tosan for an electrical-motorcycle control unit: PDN, EMI/EMC, thermal budgets. Microprocessor signal chains on Artix-7 and Kintex-7. Came back to research with a builder’s mindset.

Air-volume for oscillometric BP
Co-authored work: incorporating cuff air volume alongside pressure improves oscillometric BP. Plus a piece in Analysis & Sensing on self-powered wearable pressure sensors.

A double year
Two papers, two prizes. The Sci Reports paper showed a popular home BP monitor uses a variable ratio driven by the max oscillogram amplitude (errors 5.8/1.5 → 1.5/0.8 mmHg). The Smart Cuff cardiac-output paper matched invasive pulse-contour (r=0.60, 83% concordance) in 34 surgical patients — Outstanding Abstract at MACSOS, Top Poster at Safar.

Smart Cuff dataset locked, preprint in revision, prototype now holds the cuff below DBP for continuous tracking. Two more prizes in 2026: Top Prize at the Safar Symposium and Professional Development Award at the 19th Research Symposium (University of Pittsburgh). Defending in December — looking for the next chapter.
